Leverstock Green FC stalwart Bill Dawes was presented with an award for 50 years’ long service to football at the Hertfordshire FA County Awards evening at Sopwell House.
Bill, who is the non-executive president as well as a committee member at Levy Green, was presented his award by England women’s football star Rachel Yankey OBE.
Dacorum’s other winners were: Berkhamsted Raiders - Charter Standard Community Club of the Year; Reginald Moorcroft and Colin Weedon - 40 Years’ Long Service to Refereeing.
