Hat-trick for golden boy Okoh at the South of England Athletics Championships

Dacorum & Tring Athletics Club sprinter Chenna Okoh added another two gold medals to his collection at the South of England Athletics Championships on the indoor track at London’s Lee Valley stadium.

Adding to his 300m crown, U15 star Okoh won gold in the 200m in an indoor PB of 23.34s, and finished the day with another victory in the 60m, in a new PB of 7.30s.

Other club members in action on the day included Tom Milton, third in his semi-final of the U17 200m, Dom Ashwell, a finalist in the U17 60m, Ben Collins, who reached the semi-final of the U15 60m with a PB of 7.7s, and Oliver Benveniste, who scored a PB in the long jump.

Dacorum & Tring U15 and U17 sprint coach Gavin Town said: “The boys have done themselves and the club proud. Keep up the training!”

Meanwhile, out on the road, club member Jamie Marlow was a brilliant in 26th overall out of 664 runners in the Fred Hughes 10-mile race in St Albans, in a time of 1:00:43, while Clare Murray crossed the line in 1:23:20 and Nicky Henry finished in 1:35:38.
