Leverstock Green played out a largely forgettable 0-0 stalemate with London Tigers on a sticky pitch at Pancake Lane.
Both sides had chances to win the game, but the killer instinct was missing and in the end the draw was a fair result.
The pitch passed a morning inspection – although it was still very wet – and the surface cut up from the start of the game.
The middle of the pitch became increasingly sticky as the match went on, making passing difficult for both sides.
Dene Gardner had a couple of early chances for Green while Elliot Braithwaite and Lee Gardner also tried their luck for the hosts without managing to find the net.
For the rest of the first half it was the visitors who had the best chances, with Kye Hendrix hitting the post and Emmanuel Njodzeka forcing a decent save from Levy keeper Kieron Jimmy.
It was much of the same in the second half –Jimmy denying Redion Fegad, and Prince Alozie seeing a shot deflected just wide at the other end.
The best chance of the game fell to Leverstock in the last minute when Dene Gardner dinked the ball over the top to put Daniel Lake clean through on goal, but his effort went inches wide of the post and the match finished all square.
The draw leaves Green in 19th place in the SSML Premier Division table, level on points with 18th-placed Oxhey Jets who have a slightly superior goal difference.
The Tigers, meanwhile, occupy 19th position.
Next up for Levy is a home clash with Cockfosters on Saturday afternoon, with a 3pm kick-off.
