Competitions in full swing at Little Hay

It has been a busy couple of weeks at Little Hay Golf Club, starting with the Men’s May Medal competition.

Nick Jefferson took the honours in Division One with a score of 69 – taking the honours on count-back from Darren Blackman and Colin Halcombe. Steven Crowhurst’s score of 66 was good enough for the Division Two title.

In other action, Peter Dillon won the men’s Secretary’s Cup tournament with a total of 44 Stableford points, while Little Hay beat Panshanger in a friendly match by 219 points to 210.

Elsewhere, there was an exciting finish to the ladies’ Burhill Trophy as Chris Marsden took top spot on count-back after a three-way tie at the top.

The Little Hay Business Ladies competed for their May Medal and the winner was Chris Woodcock with a net 69.

Meanwhile, Jim Littlechild and Syl Nolan took the Division One and Division Two honours, respectively, in the Senior Men’s May Medal.

The senior men than drew 3-3 in an away match with Hazelmere, before Frank Klimaszewski triumphed in the 3-Club Competition with an impressive score of 41 points.

Finally, Robbie McIvor made a strong start to the Summer Evening League – opening with a 9-hole score of 24 points.
