The Tring Hockey Club men’s first team were without a game this week, so the men’s seconds took to the fore with a 10-0 win over bottom club Witney.
James Heath opened the scoring with a neat finish at the far post and, as the half neared its end, a flurry of Tring players got on the scoresheet.
Greg Roach, Ash Webb, David Bonner and Tom Alderton all added to the goal Tally to make it 5-0 at half-time.
The second half saw more of the same, with Jonny Mee making it six, before Bonner, Roach and Bruce McAlpine (2) completed the rout.
It was not such good news for the men’s thirds, who lost 3-1 to Eastcote despite a Jack Doodson goal, while the men’s vets earned a 2-2 draw with reigning champions Reading.
The ladies’ first team were beaten 4-2 by Leighton Buzzard, but Laura Roberts and Olivia Wright were on target for the ladies’ thirds in a 2-2 draw with Vauxhall Chiltern.
