Bishop’s Stortford Town Ladies 4
 Kings Langley Ladies 3

Kings Langley Ladies remain in second spot in the league, despite being dealt a killer blow deep into stoppage time against Bishop’s Stortford.

With the final whistle only moments away, Stortford snatched all three points with the last kick of the game to leave Kings empty-handed.

It was Town who took the lead after 14 minutes, and the hosts doubled their advantage 20 minutes later.

Kings are a gritty side, however, and they fought their way back into the contest with two goals in as many minutes from Kim Nield.

First, she rounded the keeper to slot the ball in, before meeting an Alex Britten throw-in to thump her side level.

The home side started the second half strongly, but it was Kings who took the lead shortly after the hour mark as Nicole Barrett volleyed in at the far post from Nield’s corner.

That sparked a Stortford onslaught, and they drew level after 79 minutes, before snatching the points with the last-gasp winner.

Kings are back in action on Sunday, taking on Welwyn Garden City Ladies at Dacorum Running Track, Jarmans Park.

Action gets under way at 2pm.
