Hemel Hempstead Town manager Dean Brennan is readying his side for a physical battle against Bishop’s Stortford on Saturday.
The Tudors go into the Hertfordshire derby on the back of a thumping 4-0 victory over Hayes & Yeading United on Tuesday night, but Brennan is expecting a different test against Stortford.
“They are a tough team, a very physical side and they don’t mince their words really – they get stuck in about you,” he said.
“The haven’t played in midweek, and they have got some good experience of the National League South.
“It’ll be a tough game, and in any local derby you have got to earn the right to play, just like any other football match.
“We are looking forward to it – it’ll be a different test from Hayes & Yeading but it will be very physical and we will have to be able to match the battle.”
Hemel’s win on Tuesday saw them climb to sixth place in the National League South table, while Bishop’s Stortford currently occupy 13th spot.
A win at Vauxhall Road on Saturday could see the Tudors move as high as second in the standings, with an away win potentially pushing the visitors up to eighth.
