Fighter Denniston ‘Mad Max’ Sutherland is promising something ‘completely different’ when he enters the cage on Saturday night.
The 42 year old, with 21 professional wins and 12 losses under his belt, faces Avi Jack, who is 14 years younger than Denniston and has been training for around eight years.
They are fighting at the inaugural Macto Championships’ at ArenaMK in Milton Keynes on June 27.
Denniston, who runs MMAX gym in Fensomes Alley, Hemel Hempstead, said: “I haven’t seem much of Avi Jack but I can see why his long limbs are going to cause me some kind of puzzle that I have to solve - that is good, that is exciting for me.
“I always want to fight guys who, on a good night, could beat me.
“Believe me it is going to be completely different to what you have seen before. I’m looking to finish this guy quickly and violently - enjoy.”
Avi, who started training in the sport after seeing it on television, predicts that he will win the fight through knock out or submission, and said of Sutherland: “He is one of those guys who can just keep going and take a lot of shots and keep going forward.
“I have a lot of respect for him but the days of having just one skill set are gone.”
