Hemel Town manager Dean Brennan has revealed that David King and Moussa Diarra are on their way out of the club.

Diarra’s departure comes as little surprise after he was loaned out last season, but King was expected to be a key part of Brennan’s squad this year.

“We’ve had a couple of inquiries about King and Diarra so they will be going out, and we will bring in at least another four players,” said Brennan.

“We offered Kingy an improved contract and he’s turned it down. But that’s business, he’s got a year left on his current contract and he’s made the decision.

“He’s a great team player and I’m devastated to see him go because he was a player who I said would eventually be my captain.

“He wears his heart on his sleeve and he’s got a great attitude, so I’m a little bit gutted that he has decided to leave.”

The Tudors boss added: “But that’s up to him, it’s his career and he has got to do what he feels is right for him.”
