Squash player Katie Malliff beat the number 1 seed to reach the final of the U13 girls’ Tecnifibre English Squash Closed Tournament held at Edgbaston Priory Club.
Katie, who attends Tring School, played to a consistently high level over the three-day event, but lost in the final 3-2 to Lydia Robinson from Yorkshire after taking a 2- 0 lead.
Katie has risen through the national rankings over the last year and is now currently number 3 in England for her age group.
Katie is sponsored by Harrow and is now planning to enter international competitions both in Europe and America.
