Bovingdon Bowls Club were presented with the Dacorum Shield at their presentation evening last month.
The Dacorum Shield is a competition that is played throughout the summer, with teams across the borough taking part.
Bovingdon pipped Tring Bowls Club to the prestigious title, only losing one match throughout the entire tournament.
The trophy and cheque for £500 was presented by tournament organiser John Bates to Bovingdon president Ted Luck.
Mr Bates’ company, SWR Garage Doors, generously contributed to the prize money which in turn was donated by the club to the Hospice of St Francis.
