AEK Hemel celebrated two consecutive five-a-side wins in the Hemel Hempstead Leisure Leagues as they put eight goals past Chicken Kiev.

Vice-captain Charley Yorke’s work rate was incredible throughout and he featured on the score sheet, as well as assisting his team-mates on numerous occasions.

Kiev were clearly not at full strength, although they were able to welcome back their reliable and experienced midfielder Neil Spencer, who will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in the final games of the season.

Fred West Ham were also goal-hungry as they blasted 10 past a fatigued-looking Hemel Elite.

Were it not for player/manager Chris Wyatt, who proved his agility once again between the posts, Elite could have been looking at a more damaging scoreline.

Man of the match Aidan Edwards was just one of the Fred West players on top form during the match, as he scored two and contributed to several other attacks.

The win keeps the Hammers in contention for the title, mathematically at least.

Premiership leaders Puyol Pants Down maintained their three-point advantage at the top as they eased to a 6-1 win over The Fellowship.

Josh Fossey was awarded the man of the match accolade as he ensured The Fellowship could not encroach on Puyol’s established lead.

Andy Jeffrey’s men will look to regain winning ways next week as they encounter Up Yours FC.

The latter made an impressive response to losing last week as they beat a strong Exeter Gently outfit.

They had a narrow one-goal lead at half-time but, following an inspiring team talk from skipper Martin Gorman, Up Yours FC began to dominate play and were soon comfortably passing the ball around the pitch.

Sam Budd stood out up front as he performed several twists and turns followed by sublime passes to team-mates, while Perry Smith also deserves credit for a brave display in goal as he denied countless shots on target from Chris Woods’ Exeter.

Have You Got It returned to winning ways as they looked resilient against AFC Lech Albans.

Asa Foster’s lads led 3-2 at half-time and they continued to press their opponents in the second half.

AFC Lech Albans, who were without skilful captain Kitt Hulse, were able to achieve a number of shots on target, but their finishing was not as clinical as their opponents’.

That meant Have You Got It celebrated a well deserved 6-5 victory; with Steven Inns scoring two sensational volleys.

Hello Boss looked set for their first win of the month as they found themselves 3-2 up against international side Butterflies FC. Boss’ captain Dave Amos gave precise direction and encouragement to his players throughout and it was certainly not a coincidence that his team had the advantage.

Unfortunately for him, his team began to lose defensive discipline and this allowed Butterflies to capitalise on attempts on goal.

Akilesh Oogarah’s play was outstanding and, while he didn’t score, his efforts were just as much a contribution.

Meanwhile, Kegs Down FC caused an upset as they beat Slytherin by two goals.

Captain Sam Sambucci returned for the lads in purple and, despite an outstanding individual performance, he could not prevent Liam James’ Kegs Down from taking and maintaining the lead. The orange army celebrated a 6-4 win.

ATBL took on Premiership side Hemel Elite in their points match and were 5-4 ahead at the half-time whistle.

Quick-footed Ross Adams was virtually all over the pitch as his energy and skill set seemed endless.

Adams scored the only hat-trick of the night and was suitably awarded man of the match.

Elite will hope to recover their fortunes next week as they face Exeter Gently.
