A boxer from Hemel Hempstead will make his professional debut at the legendary York Hall venue in Bethnall Green next month.
Mickey Diggin will enter the ring on April 19 and is now looking for sponsors as he embarks on his journey into the professional ranks.
Diggin has passed his medical examinations, but this was an expensive process and any help from potential sponsors would be gratefully received.
Tickets for his York Hall bout are available from Hemel Hempstead Boxing Club for £35 – to purchase these or to find out more about sponsorship opportunities, please visit www.hemelhempsteadboxingclub.co.uk or email Colin Mansell at colin@hemelhempsteadboxingclub.co.uk
Meanwhile, another Hemel Hempstead boxer, Michael Cash, did his club proud as he boxed his way into the quarter-finals of England Schoolboy Championships.
Michael, 13, outboxed his last-16 opponent who had much more experience under his belt.
Michael’s brother John Cash, who is a professional boxer, also won this week in his second bout at York Hall.
A spokesman from Hemel Hempstead Boxing Club said: “It’s been a good week for the club and also the Cash family – the future for boxing in Hemel Hempstead is looking very promising.”
