Tring Athletic made the short trip Bedfordshire and came away empty-handed after going down 2-0 to AFC Dunstable.
Creasey Park has not been a happy hunting ground for Tring – they have now failed to win there in 12 visits – and they went behind after only 73 seconds when BJ Christie headed home a corner at the near post.
With the interval looming Athletic suffered a further set-back when Jack Seaton was red carded for a foul on Christie.
Despite this, the visiting players responded well in the second half and enjoyed a lot of possession.
Vinnie Iannone headed a free-kick wide then stabbed a shot straight at the keeper following good play by Chris Vardy.
But with five minutes to go, Christie grabbed his second goal to wrap up the win for Dunstable.
